Combat Zone Wrestling returned to the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ last night for its March monthly show.
Match results:* Sami Callihan opened the show, winning by submission over Alexander James via a reverse stretch muffler. Post-match, again “The Artist” Jake Crist came out with a megaphone and kissed Callihan 3 times.
* Dave Crist defeated Anthony Deppen by pinfall after scoring what was (for want of a better word), a reverse or inverted Sister Abigail type move.
* In the “Proving Ground” match Private Party (Isiah Kassidy/Marq Quen) defeated The Ugly Ducklings (Lance Lude/Rob Killjoy) after a reverse hurancanrana and shooting star press to score the pinfall.
* In the Six-Man (well, actually five man) Scramble, Shane Strickland defeated Ace Romero, Ace Austin, Alex Daniels, and Tim Donstafter Strickland scored the pinfall. Post-match, Storm of Entrails (Dan O’Hare and SHLAK) stormed the ring and took out Ace Austin. Pre-match, “The Artist” Jake Crist announced that the Voorhees crowd “wasn’t worthy” to see him wrestle/
* In a wild Bed of Nails/BarbedWire Boards/Thumbtack bats/Beds of Forks match, Genocide Junkies defeated Cannonball and Joey Janela, after G-Raver formally debuted to “help out” Father Matthew Tremont and Stockade.
* After intermission, Scarlet and Graves (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) retained their CZW Tag Titles over EYFBO and The Dub Boyz in what was the match of the night. Both EYFBO (now also working as part of LAX for Impact Wrestling) and The Dub Boys looked especially good. The end of the match saw a schmoz involving JT Davidson interfering (and for once getting his). Wentz and Xavier took off at match’s end with the belts through the crowd. Maven Bentley came out, and said this isn’t how our Champions act, and set a Tag Team Title match for April 8…a TLC rematch for the Titles.
* Conor Claxton defeated Devon Moore by pinfall (the finish saw Drew Blood interfere, and Danny Havoc make the save) Claxton drove Devon Moore through a table to get the pinfall.
* Joe Gacy retained the CZW World Heavyweight Title by pinfall over Chris Dickinson, after powerbombing Dickinson through a board/table in a really solid match to end the night. Crowd was pretty divided over the two.
