Stardom held a press conference today, announcing the teams, blocks and lineups for the 2016 edition of the "Goddesses of Stardom Tag League," which will take place over three shows - October 23, November 6 and November 11. They also announced a partial card for their upcoming "October Showdown" event on October 30 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall, which will feature Io Shirai defending the World of Stardom Title against 5*STAR GRAND PRIX winner Yoko Bito.

Prior to the press conference, it was announced via the Stardom website that veteran referee Daichi Murayama has joined the promotion from WRESTLE-1, as of October 2. Debuting in 1988 with All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling (Zenjo), Murayama has worked in a whole host of promotions, including ARSION, ZERO-ONE/ZERO1, Ibuki, All Japan, WRESTLE-1, BJW and New Japan. In nearly all of those promotions, he has held the title of "senior referee." In the release announcing his signing, Murayama stated that at over 50, he is wanting to end his career where it started - in Joshi Puroresu.
