– Elias Sampson defeated Tony Briggs by DQ when Kevin Owens came in and destroyed Sampson and then Briggs. Owens promised to be back later. Match itself was too short to get much out of.
– Shoot Nation: Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton defeated CJ Parker and Tye Dillinger. Really solid match. CJ is so good at playing the heel and Dillinger is always good. Fulton had some real good power moves. He and Dawkins might have a solid future in the tag divison with some time and experience.
– Carmella came out and cut a promo about how she goes out with Enzo, but he doesn’t treat her right. She says he forgot his wallet when they went out to lunch four days in a row. She’s in Cocoa looking for a prince to treat her like a princess. It was a fun little time waster before the next match.
– Bull Dempsey defeated Jason Jordan. OK match. Nothing too spectacular.
– Adrian Neville defeated Hideo Itami and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat match after hitting Hideo with a 450 Splash. Extremely fun match, and shocking that there was such a main event level match before intermission. Early in the match, Finn looked like he hurt his ankle taking a hurricanrana from Neville. He was still hitting a lot of springboards, but as soon as the match was over, he hurried to the back on one leg and got some help back there. Hopefully it’s something minor or just that he is REALLY good at selling.
Intermission– Bayley defeated Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch in a non-title Fatal 4 Way after pinning Becky Lynch. Really good match and Charlotte is just so impressive. She does things in the ring that no other woman in WWE can pull off. This match should be real fun for Takeover.
– Solomon Crowe defeated Kalisto. Fun, entertaining match.
– The Vaudevillains defeated Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady when Gotch pinned Cass. Entertaining match.
– Tyler Breeze defeated Sami Zayn by DQ when Kevin Owens ran in and beat up Tyler. After that, he tried to attack Sami, but Sami fought him off. They teased a confrontation, but it didn’t happen. The actual match was fun, if a little short, and the ending was a major letdown.
Sami cut a short promo saying he was disappointed the night ended this way, but he thanked all the fans for coming.
Notes:– NXT return to Cocoa Beach February 21.
– Jojo handled ring announcing duties while Greg Hamilton (the new backstage interviewer on this week’s NXT) was the host for the evening.
– There was a meet and greet before the show with Sami Zayn, Charlotte, Enzo and Big Cass.
Overall, it was an excellent show and a heckuva value. The place was sold out and they were selling standing room tickets for the show.
