National Wrestling Superstars February 21 Results From Bloomfield, NJ.

Danny Demanto Vs. Vicious Vinny In An Awesome Steel Cage Match For The NWS Heavyweight Title, WWE Alums Chris Masters & Giant Silva & The Patriot, ECW Alum Balls Mahoney And More As NWS Packs Another Venue

While other promotions are struggling in these tough economic times, National Wrestling Superstars continues to prove it has the star power to convince people that they are the worthwhile way to spend their hard-earned entertainment dollars. And on Saturday night February 21st in Bloomfield, NJ, quite a few fans did just that, nearly selling out the entire Bloomfield High School Gymnasium as NWS returned for another mega show in this popular venue.

In a pre-show Dark Match, Nate Mustang defeated Baghdad Bullies member Prince CamelToe with a facebuster slam.
Former WWE star "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters came to the ring. He took the microphone and called "The Adjuster" Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter a coward for hitting him with the backbone he carries to the ring (the only backbone Porter has, according to Masters) and pinning him in their match in Union, NJ the previous night. He said they will meet one-on-one tonight, and he had only one word to say about their match... "Masterlock!" The Adjuster, however, had something else to say about it, as he and his manager Royce Profit, along with Profit's friends NWS Heavyweight Champion Danny Demanto & former WWE star Salvatore Sincere, ran into the ring and attacked Masters, hitting him repeatedly with Profit's golf club and then laying him out with a spiked piledriver onto a steel chair, until former ECW star Balls Mahoney ran out from the locker room with a chair of his own to chase away the goons. A visibly severely injured Masters was helped back to the locker room.

NWS Cruiserweight Champion J.D. Smoothie retained his title against Nikko The Monkey Man. The Monkey Man brought his A-game to the match, and the two stars battled evenly for several minutes until Smoothie turned a sunset flip attempt by Nikko into a backwards piledriver and pinned the challenger 1-2-3.

Former WWE star The Giant Silva & Goal-Duh (with former WCW manager Gorgeous George) defeated former WWE star Salvatore Sincere & Corey Havoc (with manager Royce Profit). Size definitely did matter in this match, as Sal and Havoc, despite their veteran brawling tactics, could do little against the 400-plus pound Goal-Duh, and even less against the 7-foot plus Giant. In the end, a giant flying splash by Silva onto Havoc finished off the match.

In a Triple-Threat Match, NWS Jersey Shore Champion Myke "G.Q." Quest and NWS Tag-Team Champion Nicky Oceans and Corvis Fear fought to a ten-minute time-limit draw. The three veteran indy stars put on a barrage of high impact, and high-flying, moves, with no one wrestler holding any advantage or successfully pinning anyone, until the bell sounded indicating the time limit was up. The fans clamored for five for minutes, but neither Corvis nor Oceans had any interest in pleasing the fans and left the ring.

Former WWE & WCW star "America's Hero" The Patriot and former WWE protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews (with manager Royce Profit & "advisors" Danny Demanto & "The Adjuster" Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter) fought to a no-contest double-disqualification. Before the match, an angry NWS Commissioner Gino Moore ordered Demanto and Porter to leave ringside immediately. He also informed The Adjuster that Chris Masters had been severely injured in the attack by him and his friends earlier that night, and the doctors were not allowing him to wrestle against Porter in the main event, but Porter would instead be facing Masters' good friend & former ECW star John "Balls" Mahoney! After Security escorted Demanto & The Adjuster to the back, the match finally got under way. Matthews and Profit attempted to double-team The Patriot early from the get-go, but the veteran America's Hero fought them off, and eventually, after drop-kicking Matthews into Profit, was on the verge of victory when Demanto & The Adjuster ran back into the ring to attack The Patriot (hoping to make it two-for-two in attacks against WWE alumni that night), but were immediately chased away by the appearance of Vicious Vinny and The Giant Silva, as the referee signaled a double-disqualification. Commissioner Moore announced that Matthews and The Patriot would have a rematch in Long Branch, NJ in late March.

Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) Champion Angel Orsini retained her title against challenger Miss April (with Gorgeous George). The challenger has been a rising star on the ladies circuit as of late, but the wiley veteran Angel was clearly on a roll heading into her March 7 showdown against Mercedes Martinez (see www.wsuwrestling.com for details), as she survived all of April's offense and then put her challenger down for good with a facebuster legsweep.

"The Adjuster" Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter (with manager Royce Profit) defeated former ECW star Balls Mahoney (with former WWE star "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters). Balls took the mic and tried to convince The Adjuster that he was good enough to win without "that piece of garbage manager", but Porter would hear none of it, and the two commenced a heavy-hitting brawl. Profit tried to interject some double-teaming, but Chris Masters ran out from the back and clamped a Masterlock on Profit, as Balls took advantage of the distraction to level Porter with a steel chair. While the referee was still on the outside trying to separate Masters and Profit on the outside, Danny Demanto snuck into the ring and hit Balls with a steel chair of his own and dragged the unconscious Porter on top of Balls. The referee finally pulled Masters off Profit and returned to the ring and counted the 1-2-3 for Porter.

The crowd paused while the steel cage was assembled for the main event. (Kudos to the crack NWS ring crew who had the cage up and ready to go in ten minutes!)

In the Main Event, Vicious Vinny defeated Danny Demanto (with Brooke Carter) in a Steel Cage Match to become the *NEW* NWS Heavyweight Champion. To say this match was brutal and heavy impacting would be a major understatement as both men brought everything they had with them, slamming and pounding each other into all sides of the steel cage and busting each other open. There were plenty of punches, slams, and steel chairs traded back and forth, and Demanto even used a pair of handcuffs (smuggled to ringside inside Brooke Carter's shoe) on Vinny to hold him to the cage for some chair shots. Demanto made several attempts to climb out of the cage; in each case Vinny suplexed him off the top of the cage to a thunderous impact on the mat. After hitting a moonsault on Demanto from the top of the cage, Vinny tried to exit the cage door, only to find that the lock had been jammed by Brooke. After literally pounding on the door he finally got it open, only to have Brooke slam it shut on his head, knocking him back in the ring. After Demanto missed his moonsault attempt from the top of the cage onto Vinny, Vinny attempted to powerslam Demanto into a stack of chairs, but in swinging Demanto around, referee Kenny Edwards was hit and knocked out. By the time replacement referee Mike Dillon made it into the cage, Demanto had recovered from the powerslam and kicked out of the pin attempt at two. Demanto then charged at Vinny, but missed and collided with Mike Dillon, taking him out as well. Demanto then piledrove Vinny onto a chair, and with no referee to make the count, he decided to put Vinny out once and for all, and went and got a wooden board and placed it across two of the chairs. After smashing Vinny's head into it, Demanto went up to the top of the cage for another moonsault attempt, but Vinny made it to his feet, climbed up the cage after Demanto, and threw Demanto off the top of the cage right into the makeshift table, knocking him out cold. Meanwhile Commissioner Gino Moor e found a new referee, none other than Balls Mahoney (who still had an NWS referee's license) who ran to the ring as Vinny covered an unconscious Demanto for the 1-2-3! The crowd cheered and gave thunderous applause as their hometown hero had regained the NWS Heavyweight Title. Meanwhile, Brooke Carter entered the cage to revive Demanto, who was so angered at losing the title that he shoved Brooke hard to the mat and left. Vinny helped a shaken Brooke out of the cage and to the back as the crowd went home happy.

NWS goes on the road for a private show at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ on Friday March 6th, then returns to regular action on Saturday night March 14th at the Point Pleasant Beach, NJ Elks Lodge, followed a week later on Saturday night March 21st at the Lacey Township High School Gym in Lanoka Harbor, NJ
