Univers Catch

IWA held their June 20 event at the Cosme Beitia Coliseum at Cataño. There was held the 4th Annual Jose Miguel Perez Cup. Results, as provided by the promotion, were as follow (not in chronological order).


1-The 4th Annual Cup was won by Dennis Rivera, who last eliminated Cataño's own Lynx. Among other participants, Noel Rodriguez, Bacano and Mr. Big were among the last wrestlers to stand.The Cup has wandled by Jose Miguel Perez widow and the Cataño's Mayor José Rosario.


2-Joe Bravo defeated Jose Miguel Perez to retain the IWA Undisputed World Title. That took place with help from La Revolucion members.


3-Rick Stanley defeated Diabólico to retain the Intercontinental Title, using all kind of tricks to keep the title.


4-Golden Boy & Steve Powers defeated The Arabians. Chris Joel no showed and Powers took his place. After the match there was heat and tension between referees Atlético and Pelayito Vazquez.


4-Ramone defeated Barbie Boy to win the Ladies Title. Jay Adonis helped Ramone. By the way, Both Ramone and Barbie Boy are male wrestlers, with at least barbie Boy doing a very prounciated gay gimmick.


5-Mr. Big defeated Noel Rodriguez by DQ when Rick Stanley interfered


6-El Niche & Lynx defeated Vertigo & Cold.


7-Cuervo defeated Syco & Empio on a three way match.


Gilbert appeared on the show, looking to attack Ravishing Richard, and was advised by the IWA promoter Edwin Vazquez to stop doing that.
