In a weird story, CMLL cancelled their usual Sunday show at Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara due to a request of someone not named because of the Pan American Games that are currently taking place. Pato Soria who along with being Shocker’s father has been working as the promoter in GDL of late said that the closing ceremonies are taking place at the same time as the show and the request was made so it was accepted. Another twist to this story is that Soria said that Tuesday is his last day as promoter which happens to coincide with the rumors going around that Apolo Dantes is coming back to his old job as promoter of GDL.
Low Rider who is American but has worked the indies in Mexico for well over a year now had a tryout with TNA recently thanks to Shawn Hernandez and worked Amazing Red which Rider thought went really well and he fully expects TNA to give him an offer soon.
Solar I who is taking part of the FULL Heavyweight Title tournament on their big show on 11/12 at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City said yesterday that he is indebted to a promotion like FULL for presenting such a strong show at the ultimate arena in Mexico City. Solar said that this show proves that promotions can work together as this show is full of AAA guys along with staunch independents which are events that the fans want to see. Solar said that fans are tired of seeing the same guys every week and this show is bringing a variety of wrestlers in different matchups that they aren’t used to. Solar is also happy that FULL doesn’t disrespect veterans like him & Pirata Morgan which the major promotions do because they are afraid the veterans will upstage their young talent. Solar also was asked about the current hardcore phase in Mexico and he said that he doesn’t understand what is so edgy about it saying that these matches have been done for over 20 years in Japan and that everyone now is copying what they have seen there and in the United States. Solar also said that it is a serious problem for true lucha libre saying that back in the day you had to have at least 3 years experience as an amateur before you made it and now guys are working shows with no experience in anything but using weapons on each other and it’s nothing but a circus.

3. Shigeo Okumura/Virus/Nobuo Yoshihashi beat Dragon Lee/Sangre Azteca/Valiente when Virus fouled and pinned Dragon.
4. CMLL Femenil Title: Marcela defeated Amapola to win the title.
5. Blue Panther/Jushin Thunder Liger/Rush beat La Peste Negra (Felino/Negro Casas/Mr. Niebla) by DQ when Negro wouldn’t release BP out of a jujigatame. Negro then laughed maniacally at the injured BP
6. Revancha Match: La Triada del Terror (Averno/Ephesto/Mephisto) defeated Hector Garza/Mascara Dorada/La Sombra with Mephisto going over Dorada and challenging for the CMLL Welterweight Title next week.

5. IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Title: Golden Magic defeated Bestia 666 to retain his title.
