AAA President Joaquin Roldan finally spoke out today about the Octagon/La Parka Jr. controversy from the Heroes Inmortales show and said that he was in complete shock when it happened because it was only two hours earlier that they agreed with him that La Sociedad would not ruin the special day that honored the great Antonio Pena. Joaquin said that this was like a punch to the gut but this business wasn’t made by one or two people and that there will be men who will step up their game and would replace Octagon & Parka in the AAA army. Roldan said that there are some hungry young wrestlers that are dedicated to the cause and have taken the treasonous activity personally so they are ready for war. Roldan then had a message for Octagon & Parka saying that he hopes that they are secure in the decisions they made because they turned their backs on their brethren, their fans, and the man who made them what they were in Antonio Pena and that they would pay dearly.

IWL who had some mild success recently bringing in foreigners and drawing some pretty good houses came back to earth this weekend where supposedly in the 3 shows they ran they only drew about 800 fans combined in some decent sized buildings. 800 fans in three shows is still a really good number for an independent promotion in Mexico but they were aiming for a higher number. They still have two shows Pachuca tomorrow night and a show at Rodeo Santa Fe on 10/22 which is an outdoor show so they have a shot to rebound.

There were rumored up to be 7 CMLL wrestlers that tried out for the WWE yesterday before their Smackdown taping in Mexico City with AAA and independent guys trying out the day before at the RAW taping. According to Super Luchas, Edgar Noriega who is a referee, booker, and nephew of CMLL President Paco Alonso was among other CMLL directors in attendance at last night’s taping as well.

5. Street Fight won by Super Mega – Other participants: Paranoico/Rocky Santana/Alex Guajardo/Casanova/Xtreme Boy/Tony Rodriguez/Pesadilla
6. Aero Boy/El Brazo/Violento Jack defeated Drastick Boy/Hormiga/Villano IV – Two challenges came out of here with Violento & Hormiga challenged each other to a mask match and Aero challenged Drastick to a match where the loser must retire from hardcore wrestling.
7. Negro Navarro beat Nicho el Millonario in a match where Nicho tried to bring the weapons in and it backfired with Negro throwing him into a corner filled with chairs and light tubes then submitting him to win.

4. Super Pollo & Pollito defeated Toxico & Warrior Steel and after the match Chamuel & Henry challenged the Pollo’s to a match.
5. Juventud Guerrera & Pepe Aguayo beat Zach Gowen & Marco Corleone when Marco accidentally hit Gowen.
6. Hijo del Rey Misterio & Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Mr. Aguila & Fauno

CMLL 10/16 – Arena Mexico

2. Hombre Bala Jr./Horus/Leono defeated Apocalipsis/Disturbio/Inquisidor

4. Black Warrior/Blue Panther/Guerrero Maya Jr. defeated Ephesto/Mephisto/Rey Escorpion but Maya accidentally hit El Black who walked out before the end of the match.
5. Hector Garza/Jushin Thunder Liger/Shocker beat La Fuerza TRT (Damian el Terrible/Rey Bucanero/Hijo del Texano) by DQ when Rey fouled Garza.
6. Volador Jr. defeated Atlantis when he ripped his mask off and pinned him after a ref bump.

3. Jennifer Blake & Sexy Star beat Ludark Shaitan & Sexy Lady
4. Relevos Increibles: 911 & Joe Lider defeated AK-47 & Violento Jack in a match where the Oficiales refused to wrestle each other and after the match Jack & Lider along with Crazy Boy challenged Los Oficiales to a match.
5. Relevos Increibles: Monster Clown/Murder Clown/Nicho el Millionario beat Psycho Clown/Electroshock/Ultimo Gladiador when Silver Kain ran in and fouled Electro causing him to get pinned. After the match the Clowns reunited and cleaned house.
6. Steel Cage Relevos Increibles Ultimate Jeopardy Match: Tabu eliminated Silver Kain with a little help from Electroshock to win the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Title. Other participants: Dr. Wagner Jr. (mascara)/La Parka Jr. (mascara)/Tabu (mascara)
