Loco Max Leaves CMLL
Long-time CMLL luchador, Loco Max, announced via facebook that he had left CMLL and was now going independent.
Apparently he made the decision last week.
His Official statement was in ALL CAPS. Here’s my translation (not in caps and with more punctuation!)…
“Oficial news, As of today I have stopped being a part of “Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre” (CMLL). (I) left in the best terms and I am “el cabron” most appreciative for the 14 years that (I) was in the “major leagues”. Thanks to everyone and like an angel told me “No Pasa Nada” (nothing happened).”
He apparently had talks with IWL this weekend about working shows for them. The IWL promotion via their facebook page announced he would be on their next show.
As Loco Max mentioned in his statement, he was part of CMLL for the last 14 years. Started working on shows in Arena Puebla. He later moved into the main roster working lower on the card. He’s probably best known to CMLL fans for having a number of hair matches and for being in the mid-card rudo faction of Los Guerreros Tuareg.
His last match with CMLL was the June 4th show at Arena Puebla.

1. Los Hombres del Camoflaje (Artillero y Super Comando) beat Camaleon & Metalico when Comando fouled Camaleon behind the ref’s back.
2. Dark Angel/Estrellita/Marcela defeated Tsukasa Fujimoto/Lady Apache/Hikaru Shida
3. Lightning Match: Virus beat Fuego
4. Delta/Guerrero Maya Jr./Hijo del Fantasma defeated Misterioso II/Namajague/Shigeo Okumura
5. Torneo Cibernetico: Ultimo Guerrero beat Titan when Euforia fouled him behind the ref’s back. Ultimo then proclaimed that Euforia had replaced Rey Escorpion in Los Guerreros. Order of Elimination: Rey Cometa/Triton/Polvora/Puma King/Niebla Roja/Diamante/Euforia/Atlantis/Titan
6. Los Sicarios del Infierno (Averno y Mephisto)/Volador Jr. (wearing Captain America gear) defeated Diamante Azul/La Mascara/La Sombra

1. Freesbee & Horus beat Camorra & Cholo by countout.
2. Aereo/Astral/Ultimo Dragoncito defeated Nitrito/Pequeno Olimpico/Pequeno Warrior when Aereo fouled and pinned Warrior. Aereo & Nitrito brawled after the match and it was announced they would have a mask match next week.
3. Tsukasa Fujimoto/Princesa Sugei/Hikaru Shida beat Dalis la Caribena/Lluvia/Luna Magica
4. Lightning Match: Pegasso defeated Raziel
5. La Triada del Terror (Averno/Ephesto/Mephisto) beat Angel de Oro/Delta/Hijo del Fantasma
6. Mascara Dorada/Shocker/La Sombra defeated Mr. Niebla/Ultimo Guerrero/Volador Jr. after Niebla & Volador started fighting each other and after they were broken up they made mask match challenges.
IWRG 7/5 – Arena Naucalpan
1. Dragon Celestial & Omega beat Alan Extreme & The Mummy
2. Douky & Eita defeated Centrvion & Mr. Magia
3. Los Oficiales (AK-47/Fierro/911) beat Chicano/Golden Magic/Relampago
4. Freeyser/Mascara Sagrada/Negro Navarro defeated Cien Caras Jr./Factor/Hijo del Mascara Ano Dos Mil with Sagrada going over Cien and then challenging him to a shot for his IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Title afterwards.
5. Por el Copa Pirata Moreno – Semifinals: Veneno beat Scorpio Jr.
6. Por el Copa Pirata Moreno – Semifinals: X-Fly defeated Trauma II
7. Por el Copa Pirata Moreno – Finals: X-Fly beat Veneno
