NOTICIAS Electroshock left AAA last Friday yet again after quitting last year then coming back. He was scheduled to be in the main event of the TV taping at Arena Xalapa on Friday night but that of course didn't happen. New Japan announced yesterday at their annual Wrestling Dontaku show that Volador Jr. would be the lone EMLL representative in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament next month. This will be Volador's first chance to compete in this tournament. Notimex ran a story about the Lucha World Cup that AAA is running in June and not only will there be a version for the men but for the women as well. The women will have four trios teams from Canada, Japan, Mexico, & United States and the men will have eight trios teams. The first rounds of each tournament will take place on 6/3 in Puebla and the 6/5 show will feature the next rounds. The 6/5 show will presumably be on PPV in the United States as well. Esfinge/Leon Blanco/Magnum beat Furia Roja/Mr. Trueno/Rey Trueno EMLL 5/2 - Arena Puebla 1. Black Tiger & Meyer beat Ares & Guerrero Espacial 2. Oro Jr./Pegasso/Soberano defeated Espiritu Maligno/Rey Apocalipsis/Toro Bill Jr. 3. Lightning Match: Estrellita beat Dalys la Caribena and she demanded a shot at the CMLl Femenil Title next week. 4. Angel de Oro/Stigma/Stuka Jr. defeated Los Hijos del Infierno (Ephesto/Luciferno/Mephisto) by DQ when Mephisto ripped off Oro's mask. 5. La Fuerza TRV (Damian el Terrible/Rey Bucanero/Vangelis) beat La Peste Negra (El Barbaro Cavernario/Felino/Negro Casas) 6. La Mascara defeated El Caristico ripping off his mask to win. Caristico then demanded a mask match afterwards. EMLL 5/3 - Arena Mexico 1. Acero & Aereo beat Nitrito & Universito Dos Mil 2. Magnus/Robin/Sensei defeated Akuma/Canelo Casas/Metalico 3. Soberano/Star Jr./Stigma beat Shigeo Okumura/Raziel/Virus by DQ when Okumura ripped off Soberano's mask. 4. Marcela/Princesa Sugei/Skadi defeated Amapola/Tiffany/Zeuxis 5. Brazo de Plata/The Panther/Stuka Jr. beat Ephesto/Luciferno/Bobby Z 6. CMLL Welterweight Title: Mephisto defeated Mascara Dorada with the Super Devil's Wings to win the title in a very solid match.
