Gemelo Muerte II who is a regular on the Monterrey circuit passed away today from an apparent stroke according to Roberto Figueroa Salazar among other Monterrey sources. Descanse en Paz.

Rey Bucanero & Tama Tonga defeated Jushin Thunder Liger & Hiroshi Tanahashi at the New Japan show at Korakuen Hall for the CMLL Tag Titles.

5. Scramble Match: Pesadilla defeated Septimo Dragon – Other participants: Dinamic Black/Eterno/Flamita/Hacker

CMLL 9/13 – Arena Mexico (80th Anniversario drawing over 17,000 fans setting the all-time gate record for the building)
1. Tomohiro Ishii/Namajague/Shigeo Okumura beat
2. Euforia/Mephisto/Niebla Roja defeated Brazo de Plata/Maximo/Titan
3. Relevos Increibles: Marco Corleone/Rush/Vangelis beat Shocker/El Terrible/Negro Casas with Rush pinning Negro. Rush/Negro was very fun here.
4. Submission Rules Caballera contra Caballera: Averno defeated Blue Panther in a fun finish as Mephisto threw the towel in behind Tirantes’ back which threw BP for a loop allowing Averno to sneak behind him to choke him out.
5. Relevos Suicidas: La Sombra & Volador Jr. beat Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero in the most controversial finish in a long time because the majority of the fans were really wanting Atlantis/UG in the mask match. There were FRAUDE chants galore and a lot of sourness all together.
6. CMLL Trios Titles: Los Estetas del Aire (Mascara Dorada/Mistico II/Valiente) beat Los Revolucionarios del Terror (Dragon Rojo/Polvora/Rey Escorpion) to retain their titles. The Estetas especially Mistico and Scorp put on a helluva performance here.
7. Mascara contra Mascara: La Sombra defeated Volador Jr. in a Match of the Year candidate going over 30 minutes with Volador revealing himself as Ramon Ibarra Rivera, 32-years-old from Monclova. Both men’s fathers (Brillante & Volador Sr. aka Super Parka) were at ringside with their sons. Volador Jr. wore the similar colors and look as his father wore over 20 years ago.
