NEWSAAA Executive Vice President Dorian Roldan clarified the whole Dr. Wagner Jr. trademark controversy yesterday to Medio Tiempo saying that Doc has been misleading everyone. Dorian said that they have had issues with Doc this year regarding him wanting to leave the company to go work wherever and even though there were lawsuits being threatened they made an amicable parting of the ways at Triplemania XXI but now Doc wants to bash the promotion for registering his trademark in the United States without his authorization which is false. Doc had told Tercera Caida on Thursday that AAA is run by thieves and that he won’t put up with their thivery saying that he never asked them to trademark his name and legacy that he created and has defended for over 20 years and he would continue to defend it against them as well. Dorian said that Doc is completely wrong here and that Doc asked them to trademark his name because someone else was trying to do it in the United States and he wanted them to protect him from that situation. Dorian said that they weren’t trying to steal his name but they were going with his wishes and trying to help him out and that Doc knew they were planning on making an impact in the United States in the future and at that time he said that his name would be better off in their hands thus giving them his consent to trademark the name. Dorian talked about how they trademark all of their gimmicks now after having issues in the past (Mascara Sagrada & La Parka) and at the time when Doc was under contract with them it was no different.
Dorian then talked about the trademark procedures saying that they have paid money trying to get the trademark done but it still hasn’t been registered (it is on the record though) and there are a series of procedures before it is completely registered. Dorian said that they want Doc to pay them back for all the costs they have incurred for the trademark and that would be the easiest way for him to win in this situation because if he doesn’t then this issue would probably go to court where he would lose. Dorian said that they have no plans for putting anyone under a mask and calling him Dr. Wagner because the character has no value without the actual guy under the mask (La Parka Jr. anyone???.) Dorian went on to say that Doc hasn’t talked to them at all about this issue but he wants to talk to him to clear the air and get this closed because he doesn’t want mud slinging in the press. Dorian said that Doc knows where the offices are and they can get a deal done behind closed doors quietly but that isn’t Doc’s style as he grandstands on many things trying to make issues larger than what they are which is a pity. Dorian closed by saying that hopefully Doc will come to his senses and will quit telling lies to the media.
Kung Fu Jr. tweeted yesterday that his condition is better and is hoping to leave the hospital in the next couple of days. I reported on Saturday that he landed neck first on the floor after a dive gone wrong on Thursday night in Coatzacoalcos and was rushed immediately to the hospital.
